Norman’s work is guided by a deep commitment to advancing inclusive, equitable, and rights-based development, with extensive expertise in protection programming, gender mainstreaming, accountability to affected populations, and social justice approaches. As a certified Trainer of Trainers (ToT) in the SASA! Together methodology, LGBTIQ+ and queer rights, international diplomacy and organizational management, as well as emergency and crisis management, he has played a key role in strengthening community resilience and organizational capacity in complex humanitarian settings. Over the years, Norman has contributed to impactful programs with renowned organizations including the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), American Refugee Committee (Alight), Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid (HIJRA), International Rescue Committee (IRC), Care and Assistance for Forced Migrants (CAFOMI), Office of the Prime Minister Department of Refugees (OPM), and Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET). He is driven by a vision of a just society where vulnerable populations particularly women, children, and queer communities can live with dignity, equality, and opportunity.
