Amanya Gerald is a committed humanitarian professional currently serving as the Project Officer – Pamoja Tunaweza – Tumaini for Refugee Women. With over 10 years of experience in financial management and humanitarian programming, he has worked extensively with women and children affected by crisis, contributing to their protection, empowerment, and resilience.
He holds a Diploma in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, strengthening his capacity to deliver people centered, accountable, and inclusive services.
Throughout his career, Amanya has served with reputable institutions including the Office of the Prime Minister – Department of Refugees (Oruchinga Settlement), Lutheran World Federation (Nakivale), and Opportunity Bank Uganda, where he worked as a Marketing Strategist. His diverse experience has equipped him with strong program management, community engagement, and financial stewardship skills.
Amanya is deeply passionate about advancing human rights, gender equality, and social inclusion, and is dedicated to ensuring that all individuals especially women and vulnerable communities are valued, respected, and supported to thrive.
